Meet the remarkable Rose McGowan, the star hehind charmed's quirky little sister....
It's fair to say that stunning acrtess Rose McGowan has led a intresting life. She was brought up in a cult in Italy and spent some of her teenage years living on the streets as a homeless runaway. So it's lucky for her that she is such a ravishing beauty, because, thanks to her ca[tivating good looks, Rose was talent-spotted outside a Los Angeles gym and swifty catapulted into a showbiz career. Her road to stardom began with several movie roles, and then saw her playing the adorable Paige Matthews for five seasons on Chamred.

She brightened up pur small screens as Paige, but it's on the big screen that the movie star Rose McGowan first made her mark....
Rose's film debut was in 1992's Encino Man. She then took the lead role in The Doom Generation, winning a nomination for best newcomer at the 1996 Independent Spirit Awards. Also in 1996, Rose featured in Wes Craven's smash hit Scream.
In 1997, she appeared in four films that were all shown at the Sundance Film Festival - Going All The Way, Lewis & Clark & George, Nowhere and Seed. The following year Rose starred with Ben Affleck and Peter O'Toole inPhantoms and featured in Southie, which won best picture at the 2000 Seattle Film Festival. Jawbreaker in 1999 saw another lead role for the prolific actress.
Charmed kept Rose away from film for a few years, but in 2005, she squeezed in a role as actress/singer Ann-Margret in Elvis, a Golden Globe winning TV mini-series about the life of Elvis Presley. In 2006, she had a part in Brian De Palma's film The Black Dahlia.
Since Charmed wrapped up for good, Rose has starred in the Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodrigues-directed double-feature Grindhouse. Cast in two utterly divergent roles, Rose appears in both portions of the film, as the brunette, go-go dancing Cherry in Planet Terror, and as the blonde, girlish Pam in Death Proof.
Rose has also signed up to play the tragic B- Movie actress Susan Cabot in Black Oasis, scheduled for release in 2008.
